altThinking and acting differently for the world of tomorrow
One should think beyond the barriers of political, economic, social and ego barriers.
Divergent thinking requires openness to new ways of seeing the world and a willingness to explore. We should not just be acting for the present but also thinking and taking action for future generations.
Welcome!

Jocelyn Blais I am welcoming you on my web site. It is with pleasure that I am sharing with you my vision, opinions, interests and some information about past and present projects.

I was born and raised in Hearst, a rural community located in Northern Ontario. After obtaining an engineering degree from Lakehead University and a business administration degree from Université de Hearst, the first part of my career was targeted towards the civil construction and manufacturing sectors. Since 2004, my career and interests have shifted towards sustainable development, community resilience, climate change, the health sector and also in being more connected with nature and the environment.

Do not hesitate to get in touch with me.
Stop-Stealing-Dreams
I urge you to download and share the Stop-Stealing-Dreams manifest from Seth Godin.  We need to bring back key elements such as creativity in our educational system and this at all levels.

Extract from Seth Godin
The economy has changed, probably forever.  School hasn't.

School was invented to create a constant stream of compliant factory workers to the growing businesses of the 1900s. It continues to do an excellent job at achieving this goal, but it's not a goal we need to achieve any longer.

In this 30,000 word manifesto, I imagine a different set of goals and start (I hope) a discussion about how we can reach them. One thing is certain: if we keep doing what we've been doing, we're going to keep getting what we've been getting.

Our kids are too important to sacrifice to the status quo.

The current education model - Revolution required

I am inviting you to view these three talks from Sir Ken Robinson about our education systems and the required revolution. Our children should not be educated like they are something going through a factory. Our children need to be able to find their passion in lives. Thank you to all who think this way and every day...

Impossible in Theory

A symptom of the revolution: When we state something is impossible in theory, but then change our minds when we discover that it is possible in practice.          Seth Godin's blog
